Sometimes a Little Wedding Cake Goes a Long Way…

Wedding Cake & Dessert Bar

To say that my team and I are road warriors is an understatement. This July 15th we went to Chatham Bars Inn in Cape Cod to deliver a wedding cake and dessert bar for a party of 12 people. 600 miles, in one day, for a wedding of 12!!! It’s a very flattering thing to have a bride willingly pay a rather large delivery fee because she absolutely had to have our wedding cake. I decided to make her cake a bit bigger than needed for that extra wow factor. It rested on a beautiful Waterford crystal wedding cake stand surrounded by several mini desserts on equally beautiful crystal pieces. The bride UPS’ed me a gorgeous hand cut crystal bowl for a traditional English pear and caramel trifle. There were also whoopie pies, flourless chocolate soufflé cakes and assorted fruit tartlets. It is definitely an experience to travel that far for a delivery.

The staff at this charming and historic inn were absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend paying them a visit. http://www.chathambarsinn.com/ You can see baby seals and their mothers sitting on the sand bars just a few dozen feet out in the ocean.

All in all a very pleasant experience. The scenery was beautiful and the seafood dinner we enjoyed was amazing. Would I do it again? Absolutely!!! The entire round trip in one day and miss the chance to stay at Chatham Bars Inn? I’ll bet you can guess the answer to that…
